New Update On JAMB Exam Date

date

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced new dates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and rescheduled mock exercise. The UTME, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, 29th April 2023, has been brought forward to Tuesday, 25th April 2023.

This announcement was made by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during a press conference in Abuja. According to him, the change in the dates was to ensure that the examination does not clash with the Workers’ Day holiday, which falls on Monday, May 1, 2023.

In addition to the new UTME date, the rescheduled mock exercise will now hold on Monday, 17th April 2023, instead of the earlier scheduled date of Friday, 21st April 2023.

The JAMB Registrar also disclosed that the board had reached an agreement with the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) to provide a conducive environment for the UTME and other computer-based tests (CBT) across the country.

Furthermore, he urged candidates to visit the JAMB website regularly for updates and to print their examination slips, which will contain their examination details such as the date, time, and venue of the examination.

It is important to note that the UTME is a compulsory examination for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. It is a computer-based test that covers four subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and any two other relevant subjects depending on the course of study chosen by the candidate.

In conclusion, the new dates for the UTME and rescheduled mock exercise provide candidates with ample time to prepare adequately for the examination. We urge all candidates to use this opportunity to study hard and ensure they perform excellently in the UTME. Good luck to all candidates!
